[Skirmish! VT Client] "Waiting for servers started by you or one of your friends..."
This just means the client is trying to find a friendly and reachable self-hosted server to connect to.
By friendly it means a server run either by you or by another user added as a friend.
By reachable it means that:
In other words, if you want that message to disappear either you or one of your friends have to get a self-hosted Skirmish! VT Server instance running in your or your friend's computer!

- If the server is Online (Internet) it can be reached from anywhere
- If the server is Online (LAN only) it can be reached from within the same LAN only (e.g. people connected to the same router)
