I was curious if there's a way to have some kind of indicator for the GM to tell which tokens with the visible property are 'False'.
Also is there a way for the GM to know which tokens are invisible?
This is relevant for preparing ambushes so you can place tokens in the PC's vision range and reveal them when needed. Given the GM in player-view will still see the 'invisible' tokens, and can quickly determine which are invisible (such as 'adds' of the same monster type interwoven with existing baddies)
Is there a difference between 'invisible' and GM 'invisible' where the latter is hidden from the players for reasons of preparation as opposed to normal 'invisibility' where the property 'see invisible' is relevant.
If there isn't, it would be neat if there could be some border highlight with a thickness of perhaps 2 pixels of some neon-ish color or haze to indicate the state. An alpha layer works too, and when combined with a color can indicate the two states of 'invisible'.
EDIT: I realized that monsters do indeed vanish if they're marked as invisible in player view, but there doesn't seem to be a way to distinguish GM invisible from normal invisible.

I really think that you should check TTopRPG vtt like I suggested before, if you already haven't. I even provided you a link with Mines of Phandelver prepared so that you don't waste time on prepping.
Spend one hour (even less when you have all prepared) and see what features TTopRPG have and how simple and user friendly they are implemented.
