On the oven for the next version
  • [c, s] More High DPI fixes: Fixed window snapping, some issues related to clicking message boxes, fixed token editor dialog not displaying correctly, plus maps hi-res maps will look better now on hi-res screens.
  • [c, s] Performance improvements for high-dpi screens.

Latest Update
Client 3.0.3.0b & Client 3.0.3.0b

  • [c, s] The installer doesn't require the Visual C++ Redistributables anymore, which should make installation a lot less painful, plus it will fix some rare installation issues.
  • [c, s] EULA will now show on first run rather than on installation.
  • [c, s] High DPI fixes: Cursors now will show with their right size on High DPI displays, update window will now show properly sized, more fixes to follow.
  • [s] It is now possible to specify a port range for the server. This is useful to run several servers (using different accounts) on the same machine.
  • [c, s] Updated to .NET 4.6.2, which should give a slight performance boost.
  • [c, s] Enhanced scrolling for enhanced trackpads and enhanced mice. Now scrolling should be smooth for trackpads such as the Surface Pro one. Also added smooth scrolling for non enhanced mice.

Client 3.0.2.3b & Client 3.0.2.2b
  • [c] Fixed a rare issue where it would hang when loading a map for the first time and with extreme minimap scrolling.
Client 3.0.2.1b
  • [c] Made map loading faster, specially on first load and on CPUs with few cores
Client 3.0.2.0b, Server 3.0.2.0b
  • [c] Zooming in 0.5% increments and a textbox for fine tuning, as well as a min zoom of 20%  (used to be 5% increments and min zoom of 50%)
  • [c] Mouse wheel zooming should be smoother now (faster when zoom is close, slower when zoom is far)
  • [c] Left panel is now hideable via the new User Interface menu
  • [c] Chat windows and minimap now can be resized to be hidden totally
Older updates
  • [c, s, w] A biggie, LAN only server mode: if a server cannot be published online (due to non open ports for example) instead of closing it will fallback to LAN-only mode, where clients will be able to see and connect to servers running on the same LAN (or at the very least running on the same computer)
  • [c, s, w] Make friends list and server list update faster and more resilient to connection drops
  • [c, s] Bugfixes and performance improvements
  • [w] User reviews + ratings for store items, sorting by user rating
  • [c, s] The server will send a heartbeat to the client periodically to avoid possible disconnects when idle for a while under some networks
  • [c, w] The client package manager will always install the latest description/icon from the store
  • [c] The client is now able to download/update owned packages by using the package manager.
  • [c] Added the open package manager command to the file menu.
  • [c] New shortcuts: Ctrl+backspace to remove a character/prop from the board, Ctrl+del to delete a character/prop, Ctrl+F or double click in the object list to center a character/prop on the map, Ctrl+W to open a character info on a separate window.
  • [c, s] Some other fixes and improvements.
  • [c, s] Fixes to the installers to avoid some possible error while installing.
  • [c, s] Fixes so both are able to connect and login to the new store system.
  • [c] Fixed an issue that could popup when loading old maps (shouldn't affect existing users though)
  • [s] Windows Firewall rules will be auto-configured/fixed whenever the user runs the server as an administrator at least once. If it is not run as an administrator he will be prompted if he wants to do it automatically.
  • [s] Another change to *hopefully* fix an error when starting the server
  • [c] Fixed an error that could arise when importing a package and the temp folder and My Documents folder were on different drives
  • [c] Although Windows XP is unsupported an issue that could prevent it from running under that OS has been fixed
  • [s] Windows Firewall rules are auto added whenever the running user is an administrator
  • In addition to Upnp the server will also try to use NAT-PMP to forward the port on the router automatically
  • [s] These two changes should *hopefully* fix a big number of errors when starting the server
  • [w] The forums should be a bit faster now.
