plug-ins
One of the features originally expressed included the ability to create your own plugins. Was that functionality ever exposed, or released? Or is that now dead with the new direction the project is taken? Does the current re-released beta content contain that ability?

it wasn't exposed or released, and it won't be for now since the next release API will probably be incompatible with the current one. We don't want people frustrated making a plugin for the current version and then realizing it doesn't work at all with the next one.
